Hannah Cho Dougherty

Biography
Hannah Cho has been the Assistant Concertmaster of the Southwest Florida Symphony Orchestra since 2007 and a full orchestra member of Sarasota Orchestra since 2009. She relocated to Fort Myers after completing a fellowship with the New World Symphony in Miami Beach. She was born in Hamilton, Ontario but grew up in Seoul, South Korea where she began studying the violin at the age of four. She completed her undergraduate degree at Yonsei University before returning to Canada to attend the University of Toronto, receiving an Advanced Certificate in Performance while studying with Mayumi Seiler. She has also attended the Schleswig-Holstein, Brott, and Spoleto Music Festivals in Germany, Canada, and South Carolina, respectively. Hannah and her husband Gavin, also an alumnus of the New World Symphony, are happily married and have two children, Saenu and Moa.
