A Message from Tom and Sherry Koski

“When we think about the future of Sarasota, we think about the young people who will grow up here—what they’ll learn, what they’ll hear, and how they’ll be inspired. For us, the arts are essential to that future. There is nothing wrong with this world that a great education can’t fix, and you can’t have a great education without the arts.
Our commitment to Sarasota Orchestra has grown over many years, from attending concerts to serving on the Board, and now, helping to shape the vision for the Music Center. This project is more than a building—it’s a promise to future generations that music will always have a home here in Sarasota, and Sarasota will always be a community for arts to flourish.
We strongly believe the Music Center and its world-class concert hall will be the final tile in the mosaic of Sarasota’s cultural landscape. It will be a place where children hear classical music for the first time, where students play their first notes on an instrument, where families come together to experience the magic of live orchestral music in a purpose-built acoustic hall, and where the community gathers to celebrate the arts through a wide range of programs—not only those of Sarasota Orchestra.
This gift is deeply personal for us. It reflects our love for this community, our belief in the transformative power of both music and education, and our faith that this Music Center will connect, inspire and enrich the lives of all who call Sarasota home.”
Sarasota Orchestra is planning to build the region's first Concert Hall that will elevate the arts on the Gulf Coast and expand the Sarasota-Manatee region’s cultural capacity for many generations. To learn more about the project visit SarasotaOrchestra.org/MusicCenter.
