Brad Williams

Biography
Brad Williams is the Principal Trombonist of the Sarasota Orchestra, a position he has held since 2009. Prior to that, he was the Second Trombonist of the Buffalo Philharmonic. During his career, he has performed with artists including Yo-Yo Ma, Renee Fleming, and Charles Dutoit. He performs regularly with the Florida Orchestra, Naples Philharmonic and EnsemblenewSRQ. A native of St. Petersburg, Florida, Brad was the only tenor trombonist accepted into the undergraduate program at Juilliard in 2001. In his time away from music, Brad enjoys gardening, traveling, and most of all spending time with his wife, Rebecca, and son, Jude.

Instrument: Brad plays a Shires tenor trombone and a Yamaha alto trombone.
Education: Bachelor of Music – The Juilliard School of Music
Career Highlights: One of Brad's favorite moments on stage was performing with YoYo Ma and the Buffalo Philharmonic. Another favorite moment was playing Mahler's 3rd Symphony right here with the Sarasota Orchestra.
Passions and Interests: Brad's current passions and interests include yoga, gardening, and most of all, spending time with his family.
