About
Magic is in the air as Sarasota Orchestra journeys to locales both real and imagined. Dukas’ The Sorcerer’s Apprentice brings to life Goethe’s tale of magic gone awry and was featured in Disney’s original Fantasia. The virtuosic Suite from Close Encounters of the Third Kind reminds us why film composer John Williams is revered as one of the most gifted orchestral composers of our time. Spanish guitar virtuoso Pablo Sáinz-Villegas takes us to the Royal Palace of Aranjuez in Rodrigo’s popular guitar concerto. Respighi’s Pines of Rome offers a vivid portrait of the Roman countryside.

Before Sarasota Orchestra hits the stage with sounds of tropical rock, grab your crew and join us for the Pre-Concert Picnic!
The Pre-Concert Picnic includes:
- Expedited Entry: Beat the crowd, skip the lines, and get through the gates early with no hassle.
- Ballpark Bites: Fuel up with classic ballpark fare (think juicy burgers, hot dogs, and more).
- Complimentary Drink: Unwind with a drink ticket for one beer or glass of wine (21+ patrons only).
- Exclusive Picnic Oasis: Relax and socialize in a dedicated, outdoor space with friends and loved ones.
Treat yourself to this opportunity to get in the "no worries" spirit before the exciting energy of the concert takes over! It’s the Outdoor Pops way to set your clock to island time and jumpstart your musical getaway.
