Hometown: Tokyo, Japan

First year with Sarasota Orchestra: 1990

Instrument: Thanks to a generous donor, Yoko gets to perform on a beautiful set of Adams Philharmonic Classic model timpani, made in Holland, and purchased in 2016.

Education: Bob McCormick at University of South Florida; Shigeru Maeda in Japan

Career Highlights: Yoko performs with many area ensembles and orchestras. She also participates in an annual recording project with Carl Fischer Publisher.

Passions and Interests: In her spare time, Yoko enjoys reading, cooking, and playing with flowers.

Sarasota Orchestra, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, has been serving the region since 1949.
