Yuhsi Chang

Born and raised in Taiwan, Yuhsi Chang began her oboe studies at the age of nine. When she was 15, she started at Walnut Hill School for the Arts and New England Conservatory (NEC) Preparatory School for her high school education, studying with Amanda Hardy. Yuhsi has attended Curtis Summerfest, NEC Prep Online Oboe Institute, Taiwan Oboe Tree, John Mack Oboe Camp, Eastern Music Festival, and Round Top Music Festival. At NEC, Yuhsi regularly performs in the conservatory's symphony orchestra and wind ensemble. Since 2024, Yuhsi has regularly played English horn with the Boston Philharmonic Youth Orchestra, and she was nominated to perform at the 2024 NEC Chamber Music Gala concert in Jordan Hall. Yuhsi is currently pursuing her undergraduate degree at NEC under Mark McEwen.
