22 year old Dawn Song began her cello studies at age seven with Yari Bond at the JCC Thurnauer School of Music. In 2014, Dawn won 1st place in the YMCA Queens competition and the International New Praise competition, leading to performances at Lincoln Center and Carnegie Hall. In 2017, Dawn won Grand Prize in The International Camerata Competition and placed 2nd in the Bravura Concerto Competition. Dawn has served as principal cellist for the Juilliard Pre-College Orchestra and performed at Peter Jay Sharp Theater and Alice Tully Hall. She has participated in numerous master classes, including those given by Bonnie Hampton, Fred Sherry, and Eric Bartlett. She has attended various summer music festivals including Meadowmount, Morningside Music Bridge, and most recently has been named a fellow at the Aspen Music Festival. Dawn is currently pursuing her master's degree at the Juilliard School with professors Darrett Adkins and Natasha Brofsky.
