Established in Sarasota, Florida, Church of the Palms has experienced significant growth since its inception. Under the leadership of Dr. Bruce Porter from 1983 to 2003, the congregation expanded to 2,600 members, prompting campus enhancements such as the construction of a new sanctuary and education building. The church initiated impactful community programs, including the Back to Basics Tutoring program, which began with 12 children and expanded to 250, and supported the construction of five Habitat for Humanity homes. These efforts reflect the church's enduring commitment to serving the community.
Church of the Palms in Sarasota offers a large paved parking lot on the west side of its campus, providing ample space for attendees. Handicapped parking is conveniently located close to the Sanctuary, Campus Center, and Palms Center, ensuring easy access to the main facilities.
