Instrument: Reed's instrument was built in 2015 by Keiran O'Hara, a luthier based in Brewster, New York. He's the first owner of the young instrument which is modeled after an unmarked Italian bass owned by Orin O'Brien, bassist in the New York Philharmonic.

Reed Sarasua Tucker began playing bass at age 12 in the public school system of Sarasota, Florida, and began formally studying the bass with David Cobb at the age of 14. Reed has performed chamber music at the Perlman Music Program in Shelter Island, NY and at the Cooperstown Music Festival in Cooperstown, NY. He has attended the New York String Orchestra Seminar working under the baton of Jaime Laredo in 2015, 2016, and 2017, and served as principal in 2016. In 2018, Reed received a fellowship scholarship from the Aspen Music Festival to study with Edgar Meyer. He graduated from the Juilliard School in 2019 with his Masters of Music.Passions/Interests:
Reed loves traveling, studying languages, and exploring creative worlds and narratives inside of video games.Career Highlights:
One of Reed's favorite musical memories includes performing in an Italian production of Igor Stravinsky's L'Histoire du Soldat in Rose, Italy with members of the Santa Cecelia Orchestra.
