Zoë SirLouis recently completed a one-year contract as principal bassoon for the New Mexico Philharmonic. She is a graduate student at McGill University under the tutelage of Stéphane Lévesque, principal bassoon of the Orchestre symphonique de Montréal. She obtained her Bachelor of Music degree from the College-Conservatory of Music (CCM) at the University of Cincinnati. Zoë has performed with ensembles such as the Orchestre symphonique de Montréal, Montréal Bach Festival Orchestra, Tucson Symphony Orchestra, Santa Fe Symphony, and Opera Southwest Orchestra. She received a generous award from the 3Arts Foundation as a 2023 Laureate in the Instrumental Music category. In the summer of 2022, she was invited to perform as principal bassoon of the Berlin Opera Academy Orchestra and participated in the Académie de Musique du Domaine Forget de Charlevoix and the Orford Academy of Music. Zoë’s musical journey began at the age of 10 with piano and clarinet lessons.
