Yi-Hsun Tang, a Taiwanese horn player is pursuing a DMA at the University of Iowa with Dr. Katy Ambrose. In her DMA, she is specificially focusing on a recording project featuring original Taiwanese horn and piano compositions which aims to enhance the horn and piano repertoire, providing a valuable resource for musicians. With a master's degree from the Manhattan School of Music, she studied under David Jolley and participated in an exchange program at Amsterdam van Conservatorium with Herman Jurrissen. As a freelance horn player in Shenzhen, she held a position in the Shenzhen Grand Theater Orchestra and performed with the Macao Symphony Orchestra. She is an active participant in masterclasses, continuing to learn from renowned horn players worldwide.
