Jonathan Bruzon is a Senior at Oberlin Conservatory and studies Horn Performance under Jeff Scott, and is also pursuing a degree in Latin American Studies. Jonathan is of Salvadoran and Cuban descent and is the first in his family to attend college.

Recently, Jonathan performed several chamber works at the Conciertos Del Este Series in Uruguay. He also performed in both the United Nations Gala and Oberlin in NYC Orchestras at Carnegie Hall, and was featured in Cleveland Classical for his musicianship. Jonathan acted as 4th horn for The Venice Symphony concert with Mariachi Cobre. In addition, he studied at the Sewanee Summer Festival and also worked with faculty and students at the Colorado Springs Conservatory.

Jonathan hopes to use his musical platform to encourage more accessibility of classical music education for underrepresented people. As a Mellon Mays Undergraduate Fellow, he is conducting research on imposter syndrome amongst Latine students at Oberlin Conservatory.
