Violinist Isabella Egawa has performed globally as a chamber and orchestral musician at programs such as the New York String Orchestra Seminar, Toronto Summer Music Academy, Taipei Music Academy and Festival, and Music Masters Course Japan. She served as concertmaster at the 2023 Tanglewood Music Center under the baton of Maestro Andris Nelsons. She is a substitute violinist for The Philadelphia Orchestra and Baltimore Symphony. In February of 2023, Isabella performed Bartók’s Second Violin Concerto with the Carnegie Mellon Philharmonic as winner of the 2022 CMU Philharmonic Concerto Competition, where she also received the Pittsburgh Female College Association and Harry G. Archer Awards. Most recently, Isabella appeared as a soloist in the March 2024 edition of the Schiermonnikoog Festival in the Netherlands. She is now pursuing her graduate degree with David Chan at The Juilliard School, and previously studied with Andrés Cárdenes and Meichen Liao-Barnes.
