Gabriel Roth

Gabriel Roth, from Maplewood, NJ, is a violinist whose interests span multiple genres. An Apprentice Artist with the Baroque Chamber Orchestra of Colorado and core member of the Twisted Pearl ensemble in Montreal, he has also toured with the Smithsonian Academy Orchestra and performed with ARTEK, the International Contemporary Ensemble, and the Jazz at Lincoln Center Orchestra with Wynton Marsalis. Gabriel has also performed with the Syracuse, Mansfield, and Fireland symphony orchestras and the Cleveland Pops. His playing has been broadcast nationally on both PBS and American Public Media’s Performance Today®. Gabriel graduated from Oberlin College and Conservatory with degrees in history (B.A.) and violin performance (B.M.), where he was elected to both Phi Beta Kappa and Pi Kappa Lambda and awarded the PKL Prize for Musicianship and the Comfort Starr Prize for History. His primary teachers have included Jung-min Amy Lee, David Bowlin, and Edwin Huizinga.
