Alice McDonald is in her third year of undergraduate studies at The Juilliard School as a student of Charles Neidich. Previously, she attended Juilliard's Pre-College program from 2018-2021, where she studied with Alan Kay. Alice has participated in festivals including the Boston University Tanglewood Institute, the National Symphony Orchestra Summer Music Institute, Yellow Barn's Young Artists Program and the Norfolk Chamber Music Festival. Alice has appeared on NPR's From the Top, was named a National YoungArts Foundation Finalist in classical music, was the winner of the Juilliard Pre-College Open Concerto Competition, and was a finalist in Juilliard's Copland Clarinet Concerto Competition. Last year, Alice was among a small number of Juilliard students who traveled to the Royal Academy of Music in London to perform and record an all-Stravinsky program under the direction of Barbara Hannigan.
