Alejandro Meza was born in San José, Costa Rica, where he started his musical studies at the National Institute of Music. Currently, he attends the Jacobs School of Music where he is pursuing a Master of Music in Flute Performance under the tutelage of Professor Thomas Robertello. He holds a Bachelor of Music degree in Flute Performance from the University of Minnesota, where he studied with Professor Immanuel Davis. He has attended masterclasses with flutists Adam Kuenzel (Minnesota Orchestra), Julia Bogorad-Kogan (Saint Paul Chamber Orchestra), Michel Bellavance (HEM Geneva) and Gabriel Goñi (Costa Rica National Symphony). Alejandro has performed with the Costa Rica National Symphony as substitute second and principal flute.
