Chloe Ehrmantraut joined orchestra as a beginning violinist in 6th grade and quickly developed a strong passion for music. She also began studying cello, and eventually switched from violin to viola during her sophomore year of high school. Chloe worked extremely hard to reach a conservatory level on both instruments, but decided to pursue viola as her primary instrument as a student at the New England Conservatory studying under Mai Motobuchi. However, after an incredibly challenging first semester, she returned home to Colorado where she recieved a life-changing autism diagnosis that allowed her to rethink her relationship with music for the better. Chloe is now continuing her education in viola performance at the University of Colorado Boulder with Professor Erika Eckert, where she hopes to explore ways to make music more accessible to other neurodivergent people. Outside of music, Chloe enjoys crocheting and spending time with her cat Mochi.
