Ashley Lee is from Fairfax, Virginia and began studying piano at the age of five. She is a third year undergraduate student at the Peabody Conservatory of the Johns Hopkins University and is studying with Dr. Steven Spooner. In 2022, she participated in the Chicago International Music Festival and the Vivace International Music Festival where she performed in several recitals. Over the course of her studies, she has played in master classes taught by pianists including Roberto Plano, Vladimir Stoupel, and Joseph Rackers. In 2019, she attended the National Symphony Orchestra Summer Music Institute, where she worked with NSO musicians and performed a piano quintet at the Kennedy Center Millennium Stage. Ashley is an active collaborative pianist at Peabody Conservatory and Peabody Preparatory. Along with playing chamber music with her colleagues, she accompanies numerous vocalists and instrumentalists ranging from elementary school to undergraduate students.
