Hugo Bliss, a 21 year-old horn player from Seattle, Washington, is currently in his third year of undergraduate studies at The Juilliard School where he studies with Eric Reed and Jennifer Montone. He previously studied with Julie Landsman and Michelle Baker during his first two years at The Juilliard School. Recently, Hugo has appeared as a substitute musician with the New World Symphony in Miami,Florida, where he performed Rachmoninoff's 2nd Symphony and 3rd Piano Concerto under the direction of Michael Tilson Thomas. He has also performed with the Princeton Symphony as a substitute musician. A highlight of Hugo's musical journey was touring Europe with the National Youth Symphony Orchestra in 2019, where he played Principal horn on Prokofiev's 5th Symphony. Throughout the tour, Hugo performed at venues including the BBC Proms at Royal Albert Hall, the Elbphilharmonie in Hamburg, as well as the Royal Concertgebouw.
