Frank Morelli

A member of the Sarasota Music Festival faculty since 2002

Mr. Morelli, prominent solo and recording artist and chamber musician, is on the faculty of The Juilliard School, the Yale School of Music, and Manhattan School of Music, SUNY Stony Brook and is Distinguished Lecturer in Woodwinds at the Aaron Copland School of Music, Queens College. Mr. Morelli was principal bassoonist of the NYC Opera for 27 years and is a member of the Orpheus Chamber Orchestra. He has made more than 175 recordings for major record labels, and is the first bassoonist to be awarded a doctorate by The Juilliard School.
