Subscription FAQs

When and how can I renew my existing subscription?
Subscription renewal invoices, along with the announcement of the new season, are typically available in the spring (March-April) of each year. You can renew online, by mailing in your invoice, or dropping it off in person.
What if I cannot attend all of the events in my series?
We are happy to help you with free exchanges on your subscription tickets. After you receive your tickets in the fall, contact our box office regarding exchanges to any other event in our Orchestra season, based on availability.
When are my subscription tickets mailed (or available for pick up)?

Mid- July, 2016 Subscription tickets will be mailed or available at the Box Office.

If you have not received your tickets within one week of your first concert, please call us and we will print duplicates for you. Mark your calendar and do plan to attend your concerts, even if you do not have your tickets. We can always reprint tickets, even at the concerts.

Can I buy new subscriptions?
Yes. New subscriptions may be purchased online, in person or by mail. You tell us what your seating preferences are, and we will choose the absolute best seating based on your request. You may purchase subscriptions up until the first concert date of any series.
Friends attend with me, but all subscriptions are in my name. Should we put them under each person’s name?

Yes. It is recommended that multiple-seat subscriptions are divided into individual records. Only identified subscribers reap subscriber benefits. Otherwise, transactions regarding subscriptions (important mailings, requests for seating changes, reprints, etc.) can only be carried out by the existing subscriber on record.

Simply include a note with your renewal, providing full names, addresses and phone numbers for each subscriber, and indicate which seats should be allocated to whom. Remember to include all payments.

I want a friend to take over my released subscription. Can I do that?

It is not our policy to allow “willing” of subscriptions to friends. As the existing subscriber, you would release your subscription in writing on the renewal invoice. Your friend may send in a new order form with a request for the seats you held. If the seat(s) are not reassigned to an existing subscriber in need of a change, then we will satisfy the request.

When can I purchase single event tickets for next season?
The Orchestra box office closes during the summer, and reopens in September, the day after Labor Day. Call us then, or shop online.

There's no doubt, audiences are thrilled by the Sarasota Orchestra's new music director, Anu Tali. She's brought an intense energy from the orchestra in previous performances and we found this yet again in a downright thrill ride of an encounter...

Written byHerald Tribune

Literally gripping the arms of my seat, I was not the only one propelled on this rollercoaster of delightful music.

Written byHerald Tribune

Every section and soloist within the orchestra played their role with strength and beauty; every tree proud and tall. Tali served as an excellent guide leading the forces with assured confidence. The overall sound was lush and, yes, intense just where it needed to be.

The Sarasota Orchestra was brimming with bubbling energy...

Written byHerald Tribune

A lifetime of musical moments, cinematic in scope, gave every section of the orchestra a leading role at one time or another. Chief among them was the virtuosic solo of concertmaster Daniel Jordan.

It was a thrill ride resulting in an explosion of audience enthusiasm.

Tali conveyed a clear vision for the dramatic outline of this symphony, carefully pacing the darker, searching character of the music with pastoral conversations among voices in the orchestra.

If you haven’t seen Tali yet, this will be a great introduction to the skyrocketing conductor who’s quickly becoming a household name around the world. You’ll see why we feel we’re lucky to have her here.

Andrew Lane, the Orchestra’s Principal Pops Conductor, knows how to program a winning event and this concert had something for everyone. It also brought in a whole new audience that seemed dazzled by the performances.

The Sarasota Orchestra played a program this past weekend filled with so much color, it was like visiting the Louvre.
